2013 was a busy year for Kris Holen-Ried. He celebrated his 40th birthday while on set filming the fourth season of Lost Girl, (where he learned to tango for the premiere episode), had a recurring role on The Listener and had two films, Sex After Kids & The Returned  screened at film festivals around the world. He voiced the iconic Canadian superhero Captain Canuck in the new web series. And his 2009 film The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard was made available on Vimeo On Demand.

Kris was also on the road making the convention circuit, starting his tour at San Diego Comic-Con with Zoie Palmer and Ksenia Solo. He's made stops in Philly, Atlanta, his home town of Toronto, and was on the film fest circuit for Sex After Kids in Sudbury and Edmonton.

In early November he and Lost Girl co-star Paul Roger Amos were guests at the 4th annual Vampire Ball in Heathrow, England. In late November he was on location in Malta to film Saul: The Journey to Damascus , a period piece that co-stars John Ryhs-Davies, Kyle Schmid, Callum Blue, and Emmanuelle Vaugier. After production was complete he took a well deserved vacation in Italy, updating fans of his outings by posting pictures of historical locations on the social media service twitter.
